I have to laugh at the english dub of Free! All this "Dude" "Bro" and "Yo man" seems like they tried really hard to make it not gay XD
But sadly the wonderful relationship of Haru and Makoto gets lost with such words. They don´t need that.
But well, the dub is kind of a parody for me and we all know they are kinda married (hell, even the producer said they made the characters conversations in the style of a old married couple! XD)

Yeah dubs can fail at times, but there are ones I like as well. God this show is so popular and I have yet to see an episode. You guys look very cute through.
